The first District A711 (created by joining District A7 and A11) convention was held at the Delta Toronto Airport West Hotel. Lions met at this time to further our plans as a new district and to make a committment to grow in numbers, to elect our District Governor, and to show the dedication we have as Lions to enjoy harmony and friendship. Five delegates from the Toronto Cathay Lions Club attended this event: President Alpha Lai, Secretary Kai Ming Kan, Director Dundas Kwok, Past President James Lee, and Rita Lee.
